Siren Cabin

The inspiration for Siren Cabin comes from the simplicity of a floating dock extending into the lake. The entry boardwalk aligns with the cabin's transparent gable, drawing visitors forward and framing views of the water through the structure. A wall of stacked firewood serves as both a functional storage element and a spatial device, guiding circulation while reinforcing the cabin's connection to its natural setting.

Grading is a fundamental component of the site design, carefully shaping the relationship between the cabin and its landscape. A gently sloped walkway along the south side of the structure navigates the single-level grade change between the road and the lakeshore, providing an accessible and intuitive transition while seamlessly integrating the architecture with the natural topography.
