Plymouth Lake Home

Plymouth, MN

Architect: SALA Architects, Inc.

This landscape renovation was designed to complement the Architect’s mid-century modern interior renovation and enhance the owner’s lakefront property. A series of wood platforms integrate into the slope, creating outdoor rooms within an immersive hillside garden.

Garden pathways weave through lush, layered plantings of ornamental grasses, flowering perennials, and shrubs, offering seasonal color, texture, and moments of discovery. A destination fire pit nestled within the hillside garden, improved waterfront access, and native shoreline restoration complete the backyard transformation, balancing the clean lines of modern architecture with the softness of the surrounding landscape.
