This Outdoor Exploration Area at Brooklyn Center Elementary School creates an outdoor learning and play environment. Using recycled materials invites a stronger connection with nature for students and faculty.

Students choose their own adventure through the site, and when it’s time for class, there is ample seating for learning. 

The black locust tree, an invasive tree species, and bur oak trees, are thoughtfully recycled and reclaimed as furniture and play features.
