The design of the Balsam Lake Cabin celebrates the natural beauty of the site through a restrained palette of materials and low-maintenance planting. Lush, naturalistic landscapes ground the architecture within its setting, creating a seamless connection between the cabin and the surrounding environment while allowing the character of the site to remain the focal point.
 

Age in place and ADA considerations is a major part of this project. Alternative routes for people in wheel chair have been included for access to water, and in and around the structure.
